Investment Banking Executive John Nozell Joins Seabury
NEW YORK, June 2, 2009 -- Seabury Aviation & Aerospace LLC today announced that John Nozell has joined the company as Managing Director, Investment Banking, with responsibility for the firm’s practice in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Most recently Mr. Nozell was Chief Investment Officer of AWAS Aviation Services, Ltd., Dublin, Ireland, where he was responsible for portfolio management and strategy, and oversaw financial analysis for all aircraft transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, re-leases and extensions. He also was a member of the Boards of Directors of AWAS Aviation Capital, Ltd. and AWAS Ireland, Ltd.
Mr. Nozell began his career in finance with The Chase Manhattan Corporation (now JP Morgan Chase & Co.) in New York. He held various positions during the 18 years he was with the company, including Managing Director, Global Investment Banking, and Regional Head of the Airlines & Aerospace Group in London, where he managed client relationships throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Mr. Nozell also spent five years as Executive Vice President of Finance & Operations and Chief Financial Officer of Advion BioSciences, Inc. in Ithaca, New York, and as a member of the Board of Directors of Advion BioSciences, Ltd., Norwich, U.K. He earned his MBA from the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management, Cornell University, and his B.A. cum laude, with honors in Economics, from Colgate University, Hamilton, New York.
