Projects include strategy, cost reduction, operational improvement, contract negotiations and due diligence.

Seabury takes a rigorous analytical approach to all projects to help our clients make sound business decisions in the challenging aviation industry. As a Senior Associate, you will play a leading role on projects. The role is equivalent to “Case Team Leader” or “Project Leader” at other consulting firms. You will take independent responsibility and initiative for complete projects or sections of major engagements. This includes structuring and planning the work, performing your own analysis, managing the analysis and output of junior team members, and developing recommendations, to presenting findings at the senior client level and pushing through required changes in the client’s organization. Your interactions with clients will be significant and you will work directly with partners and experts in the firm. You should be comfortable forming strong advisory relationships at senior levels in the client’s organization, and must be able to leverage client relationships to achieve desired changes or outcomes. You will be given training, and through mentorship and ongoing, informal training, will develop a strong consulting tool kit. As your performance and experience develop, you will be given the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and demonstrate leadership in a meritocratic environment. Travel is highly likely across the globe.

Requirements:
To receive an interview, candidates must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record from a top tier institution
  • Five or more years experience at a leading management consulting firm OR
  • Four or more years experience at a leading management consulting firm and MBA or PHD degree OR
  • Six or more years experience in the airline industry, with proven ability to perform rigorous, structured analysis, leading projects and multiple team members
  • Note that some candidates meeting these criteria may also be considered for fast-track Associate positions if they are lacking aviation or consulting experience

The ideal candidate should also possess:

  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative and conceptual skills, including Excel modeling ability
  • Self-motivation and initiative to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proven leadership ability, with particular focus on ability to independently structure work, and manage a team of people to meet strict deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and experience interacting with and presenting to senior executives
  • Track record of achievement in extracurricular and professional endeavors
  • Willingness to travel internationally
